Book Obsessions FW26
by Diana Chu
I visit my local Tippecanoe branch library 1–3 times a week.
Here's what I'm reading now:
Fiction, by women:
"Kin" by Kayari Jones
"The Best of Everything" by Rona Jaffe
"Night Bitch" by Rachel Yoder
Essays, by women:
"The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction" by Ursula Le Guin
Non-fiction, by women:
"Bread of Angels: A Memoir" by Patti Smith
"Strength to Commit" by Shawn Johnson & her husband
"Clay: Easy Air-Dry Clay Projects to Make at Home" by Sarah Reeves
"Playing Big" by Tara Mohr
Magazines:
The September Issue of "Interview" magazine features photography by Szilveszter Makó — his fantastical and theatrical works have my heart!
And to carry my book hauls in? My favorite roomy book totes are by Jimmy Fairly (you get one free if you buy their sunglasses, and the best ones are stripey) and by Lands' End (get it monogrammed now and cherish it forever). The latter is softer and, in my opinion, more durable than the L.L. Bean boat totes.
